Adults Are Debating Over A 2nd Grader Math’s Equation, No Wonder Why Kids Can’t Solve It

Counting, calculation, measurement, shapes, and motions are the topics mainly studied in Mathematics, which is one of the most dreaded subjects in academy prospectus. But why isn’t so fearsome?

Maybe, the numbers and the formulas are overwhelming for some of us, but once you catch the root of the solution, all you need is a regular practice and you’re good to go!

Here, is a mathematical question that is dividing the Internet crazy with assumptions and solutions that doesn’t fit right.

“There were some people on a train. 19 people get off the train at the first stop. 17 people get on the train. Now there are 63 people on the train. How many people were on the train to begin with?”

Louise Bloxham, a Twitter user posted this question.

The problem is solvable using the algebraic equation: X – 19 + 17 = 63 where you solve for the value of x and get the answer 65. Trust me I’m a math geek too, I solved it myself and that’s the only answer you’ll get.

In the comments section, people started getting confused with the answer.

That one person who tries to be funny about it but no! Not everything has to be funny, stop acting dumb.

I wonder how that teacher’s student will turn up.

Do people not see, isn’t that hard?

Concluding to the Math madness, the concern here is not about the algebraic equation anymore, it is how ignorant adults can be on social media in such a simple 2 grader math equation. No wonder, if this confuses the adults so much then obviously it’s not suitable for 6-7-year-old kids. Hence Proved!
